dont_use_dcf is active on SETI main

Attention all SETI users:

as of the maintenance on Tuesday 12th June 2012 <dont_use_dcf/> is active on SETI main.

That means BOINC 7 clients are instructed to ignore DCF. To be fair since APR works now again, DCF isn't really needed. [provided you have a stable system. If you up- or downgrade you're in for a headache as Jason pointed out on Arkayn's forum]

The only problem with it is that the 'recommended' 7.0.25 client has a known bug that causes tasks to run in High Priority mode (HP/EDF) all the time.

So if you are on a 7.0.25 client upgrade to 7.0.28 ASAP.

*mutter* why doesn't this forum take standard BBcodes, what the f* did I do to trigger the Spam filter when I tried to edit and why does it always come up a second time to ask for the verification instead of tagging that stright on to the 'save' ?!

Thanks for the info, LadyL -

Thanks for the info, LadyL - I am sure it will come in handy.  I've encountered other painful bugs in 7.0.25 myself and have already upgraded to 7.0.28 with positive results.

Regarding BBCodes, I think I can add them, though the editor uses a standard MSWord-like toolbar to give you the same results,.  You can also use CTRL commands just like in Word, so CTRL+B = bold, CTRL+I = italics, etc.  You can also highlight text and use the link option to add a link, or just paste the URL in-line and it will be turned into a link automatically.

Thanks!

BBCode Goodness

BBCodes have been added!  Most of the codes have been implemented, so have fun with that.  Honestly though, using the CTRL commands and the format bar above the editor is just as easy.  You can even use both!
