Brad Deauman is the Executive Director and founder of the GPU Users Group Inc.

I received my Juris Doctorate in 2011 from the Saint Louis University School of Law.  My duties in the GPU Users Group largely involve my shuffling about of paperwork, promotions, research and similar.

I created the GPU Users Group after becoming a member of the SETI at Home data crunching team known as the GPUUG.  Our directors and officers got together and decided we could help the scientific community in a more direct manner by forming this organization and thusly, here we are today....

I first 'did' SETI@home back in the 90's - on a Toshiba laptop - which was in the Classic days. Decided the machine wasn't up to the job and forgot about it for 10 years. Then, sort of stumbled across it again a few years back - the rest is err, well (personal) history.

I've spent time in HM forces, as a system manager, a parachute packer (read 'professional drinker') and as a technical architect for enterprise systems. Grew up with all things Electronic in the house.

Studied Computer Science, A Bachelor's degree, at Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia, the lucky years, the early nineties.  Was lucky enough to work with the CSIRO supercomputer facilities there, which inspired a whole new direction.

Have been working in various Electronic Engineering related  fields since, both continuing studies with that, and part time teaching of adult students with learning difficulties, both in Programming/IT and engineeering fields.
